Les Enfants de Calcutta et du Monde, (LECM) France have been supporting (Subhi) Association for Women with Disabilities (AWWD) in providing education support to the girls with disabilities in all the five blocks of South 24 Parganas. The education support includes giving the girls tuition fees, admission fees to schools, examination fees, books, copy books, other educational materials, school dress, school bags and transportation cost. Along with that LECM also provides support for rehabilitation such as cost for Hospital/Medical needs, Mobility Aids & Appliances required for the children for better mobility, cost for sports/picnic as that too is important for children as a part of their growth & development with other children.
LECM has been providing us the support since 2003. Their support has helped disabled children and young adult girls with disabilities from poor families to receive and continue education. Here are some profiles of girls with disabilities receiving education support from us with the support from LECM. |
